Tsiganos communities in Greece: a fight for the recognition of cultural heritage
Talking about the Tsigani in Greece is telling a story filled with marginalization and violence, and discussing the socioeconomic challenges due to lack of access to education, basic infrastructure and labour market. It is also not possible to talk about Greek Tsiganos communities without mentioning the stereotypes, widely spread among Greek society, the prejudices against them or the police brutality they undergo.
